90 COE Borderline Patterns by CBS [25]
CBS has released a range of new dichroic patterns called Borderline Patterns, which are unlike anything on the market today. These detailed patterns with intricate border colours are not laser etched, but are created by a deposition process in a vacuum chamber. This deposition process enables rainbow-like colours to be built up, making each pattern unique, with different coloured edges, depending upon the colour and pattern of the dichroic coating. Borderline Patterns are available on either a black or clear base and in sizes from 5 cm (approx 2 inches) square. All of the images show the colour on black. They should, however, be treated as a reference for the pattern only, as colours will vary with each piece. Dichroic glass can be fired with the coating exposed or capped with clear glass. These methods will give varied results. The detail pages are progressively being updated to include photographs of actual fired dichroic pieces.
