Photo Decals - Monochrome
These decals can be made at home by simply printing on the decal paper in a compatible monochrome laser printer. This paper does not work with colour lasers, high temperature printers or inkjets. The decal is transferrred from the paper to your glass and fired. The resultant image appears in sepia tones. Don't want to make you own decal? We now offer a decal printing service - see below
Good images for this process are those with high contrast which look good in greyscale - including line drawings. With a sepia colouration, we've found it best to fire the images on white. off-white, cream, and vanilla colours. But that's personal preference - it does fire successfully on all sorts of colours. It can be fired onto the surface of glass (3 or 6 mm) at temperatures between 700 and 780 degrees and between coloured glass and clear glass. You need to be prepared to experiment though for optimal results.
